Personalizing Your Plan Begins With Our Process
Our holistic approach for addressing all aspects of your financial life involves a structured process that helps us to learn about you, assess your financial picture and personalize a plan for pursuing your goals. To fully address your needs, we often collaborate with your other advisors such as your accountant, attorney, insurance person and others working on your behalf. We coordinate this collaboration so all aspects can come together cohesively within the comprehensive wealth management plan we design – a “living” document that evolves over time as your personal life and financial needs change.
-
We begin with what’s most important, valuable and interesting to us: listening to you. We want to learn everything we can about you, beyond just your financial details, but your goals and values, the people and relationships important in your life, and even your hobbies and interests. It serves as a solid foundation to the personal relationship we’ll build with you.
-
We take what we have learned about you; where you are, and where you want to be, then assess your financial picture, clarify your goals, and take a high-level look at your investments. Now we can begin making recommendations designed to help you to meet your goals.
-
If we mutually agree there is a good fit and a comfort level for working together – and we are confident we can bring significant value to the relationship – the next step is to formalize our working relationship.
-
By the time our 45-Day follow-up meeting takes place, your investment portfolio will be at Raymond James. We will reconfirm your goals and objectives and guide you through how to access your accounts online. Additionally, we will continue to coordinate with your other advisors such as CPAs or attorneys to fine-tune your financial plan. We will track your progress on items we have recommended you take action on and share how you are tracking for retirement and other goals.
-
Our ongoing reviews are key to staying close and connected to you. We’ll meet with you every six months (or sooner if warranted) to review how your investments are performing relative to your goals, and to discuss any changes in your personal life that may require making revisions. Was there a new marriage or birth in your family? What about a new home or new job? We want to hear the details.
